In November of 2007, I received an email from Marcos Malvezzi Leal, from Brasil who was writing on behalf of Rafael Cury who was the director of a UFO group in Brasil called Nucleo de Pesquisas Ufologicas (NPU - Nucleus Research of UFOlogy), a center to study UFOs.  Over several years they have organized various International UFO Forums and Congresses in Brazil and have invited some of the most well known speakers in the world to attend.  The reason receiving this email is that Senior Cury asked if I could come to their next event in February of 2008, to be held in Curitiba, which is in the southern part of Brasil.

I was unable to accept as I needed to return to America (Chicago) at this time, to take care of some personal matters but I did thank them for their interest and wishes them well.  But then I heard back from Marcus in February of this year, they were having another conference in May and to this invitation I was able to accept.  So to prepare to go to Peru, I went to downtown Chicago in March and I was able to obtain the visa I needed to stay in Brasil (which last for five years). 

My father had purchased for me, as an early birthday present, an mp3 player.  So when I was walking in downtown Chicago to pick up my visa, as I approached the building where the Brazilian Consultate resided, guess which song started…

…come on, …

…you can figure it out …

…. time is up …

… the theme song from the Indiana Jones movie and that song ended precisely when I reach the elevator to leave the building!  So I wondered what had I got myself into.  Oh the dates of the Conference were May 22-25, it started the very day the Indiana Jones film would air.

Now just some personal notes to give you a bit of background of my past connections with Brazil.  My 2nd wife, Vera is Brazilian, so I was able to visit Brazil a number of times between 1991 and 2000 (maybe like four times).  For some reason which I can’t still explain I was able to speak a passable Portuguese and the people could understand me.  And lastly, I really felt at home in Brazil, there is something special
for me how the people are and the energy of the land there.  I had thought to myself if this was a  successful year, I would go to Brazil at the end of this year but the conference was willing to pay all my expenses to go so how could I say no??

The Trip (May 18th - May 30)

Well with the Indiana Jones film coming up quickly as well as three tv shows in America on the very day I was leaving, I had a hectic two weeks working with many friends to get ready for the new people who would be contacting us via our websites (including a new one, the one you are reading this report on).  I almost went crazy and then the final week before I left, I had several media and production companies ask for interviews.  So don’t ask me how I was able to finish but somehow I did and thank God (hey team if you are reading this, you are the best) he/she sent for us a wonderful team
of people to help.

I chatted with my friend Mary in Chicago (I have know Mary since the 1980’s) if I could stay with her on the night of May 17th (had a radio interview there) and then she could drive me in my car to the airport (Chicago O’Hare) to fly to Brazil and this is how it worked.  So I was at the airport on May 18th with plenty of time to spare and then I could relax a bit.  Now I thought, what is going to happen to me when I go through the Security Checkpoint with my bag filled with four skulls including “Portal de Luz” (our large skull which looks like a human bone skull on the x-ray).  Will I have a problem or strange questions?

Well, as soon as the checkers saw I had a crystal skull, knowing about the Indiana Jones film and all
the publicity, they were happy to see me (there were four checkers) and they all were asking many questions.  So I felt kind of good, that I could answer plus I realized that properly we won’t have any trouble again with security folks who all would know soon about crystal skulls.

Well I had two hours to kill so I ask people around me, are you familiar with Indiana Jones and might you like to see something related to the film?  One man was completely uninterested, another girl didn’t know about Indiana Jones and two younger men wanted to take a peek.  So I told them about the shows on tv coming up. 

Well on the plane over from Chicago to JFK in New York it was an American crowd and no one really was chatting with anyone.  During this flight I was a bit teary eye as I heard “Portal de Luz” say “Dad we are going home”, did he mean his home or mine.  Also living in Sao Paulo is one of my best friends, Antonio
Conde and his wife Marcia, with his two children, plus his mother-in-law and sister-in-law.  The Conde family has adopted me as one of their own and I would stay with them for a few days before I went to the conference.  Antonio would meet me at the airport.

Anyway our plane arrived a bit late in New York City so I hurried to the next gate to catch my flight to Sao Paulo which left at 9:30 PM — then as I boarded the plane I was in the middle row and I was surrounded by a family from Brasil - a young girl and her fiance on my right and the parents of the young man on the left.  Well if you have never visited Brasil before, the Brazilians are very friendly so we easily got into a conversation and introduced ourselves.  The young girl sitting immediately to my right told me her name was Deize — (Daisy) which of course many of you know this is Blue Arrow nickname — and I thought how strange.  Then I told them that my 2nd wife was Brazilian and Deize said her future mother-in-law to be, sitting to my immediately left was Vera.  Well there must be a message in this because I still can’t
believe this happened.  Anyway my new friends in Brasil helped me to  speak Portuguese too and then this was a nice (9-1/2 hour) flight.

We had one scary moment when the plane hit a turbelence and then dropped very steeply for like 10-15 seconds, that was very nerve raking and even a stewardess serving our dinner fell down.  But then from their flight was uneventful.  However, I can tell you from this experience what it might feel like to have
your plane drop for thousands of feet, it probably drives the people insane to know they only have moments left. 

We arrived in Sao Paulo about 8 AM, and as I got out I looked for Antonio but he was nowhere to be found.  I didn’t have a mobile phone for Brasil and as I also discovered later, I didn’t even have Antonio’s right phone.  Well I took this time to change some money (their currency is REAL, about 1.4 Real to one dollar) and then bought a phone call but all I received in the number I had was a recorded message.  So I went upstairs in the airport and found an Internet Cafe and after asking many questions I paid for one hour to find Antonio’s website for his business on the internet and sent him an email.  I just didn’t know what happened to him. 

Fortunately, Marcia emailed  me that Antonio had called her on the cell phone and that he was at the airport so I told her I was the Internet Cafe.  Many people here were very helpful during my predictament, either acting as a translator or explaining things to me.  Well just as I went out of the Internet Cafe, Antonio was approaching and we connected, what a relief!!  I wondered (as I had no sleep now for 24 hours …) what were the signs of this trip meaning? 

Well by 1 PM we arrived at Antonio’s home and they had a nice lunch. I was able to meet both of his children who were really grown up and teenagers now and then I relaxed for the rest of this day.  The Condes allowed me to stay in a spare bedroom, a very nice and modern apartment, and I had access to the internet via a wireless network in the apartment.  I was curious to see what response had come from the tv shows and we had quite a few visits to ourwebsite and some people told me how the scifi show went and a few saw my short interview for Hannity’s America on the Fox News Network.  It took me quite a while to go through the emails.

Well I had two more days in Sao Paulo, so I worked on emails and also editing the last few chapters I had to turn in to our Hungarian Publisher, Edes Viz who hopes to get a version of our new book out in September before the Hungarian Crystal Skull Festival in October.  I checked in with the Crystal Skull Explorers support team via live chat and things were progressing. 

Then Antonio told me that for Wednesday, May 21st, he was able to get tickets to see the new Indiana Jones film one day early.  I was excited about that.  Since not everyone reading this report may have seen the film yet, I won’t spoil it for you — but I will be writing an analysis of the film in a week or so to discuss from a researchers perspective how the film did as compared to real life.  Anyway I enjoyed the movie for the most part and was curious how they interwoven things about crystal skulls, lost civilizations and UFOs.  I have heard the film has gotten good reviews but not everyone who has seen it was so favorable - anyway it was nice to see it finally after all this speculation.

I had heard there was more then one skull shown and I will see this, when I watched how they carried the crystal skull (and that it seemed light, this was a clear sign what we see as a crystal skull was not quartzed).

Well we got home late and I had to get up early the next morning to catch my flight to Curitiba for the conference so I went right to sleep.

              Part II
      UFO Conference in Curitiba
  (Thursday, May 22 thru Monday, May26)

We arrived at Guarulhos Airport in Sao Paulo two hours before the flight left for Curitiba. Thank god Antonio stayed with me as I didn’t understand the process to check in, first you had to go to a computer and register and then the counter to check in.  But we finished with an hour to spare.  The flight from Sao
Paulo to Curitiba is about 40 minutes — and as normal I found a person who spoke English to my right to talk to and who answered some questions for me.

As I arrived, Nelson and his partner Bernadette were waiting for me at the airport and drove me to the Lizon Hotel where I would be staying and the conference was held.  Bernedette leads tours to Peru, Mexico and Central America and this couple had their own crystal skulls which they brought on that Friday (May 23rd) and stayed with my four friends till Sunday.

Thursday evening at 8:30 PM, I had a 2-1/2 hour workshop (the photos in the photo album are from this) so when I arrived at the hotel I had a chance to rest and unpack.  I met my translator Marcos at the hotel and we fast became very good friends.  Also Marcus introduced to me to Rafael Cury who only spoke English and I had a chance to meet A.J. Gevaerd, the editor of UFO Magazine in Brazil, another speaker.

My hotel room was quite comfortable.  It had two beds and a desk, with a nice bathroom including a large shower.  But what was the most important for me is that I could connect my cable into the wall for an internet connection.  So for the afternoon I rest and checked emails and then there was a dinner where the speakers, helpers and conference coordinators met in the dining room of the hotel and then it was show time.

I know the Brazilians like to party and like music and dance so I decided since this was May 22nd when the Indiana Jones film was showing world wide, I wanted to start with that music but unfortunately they played the wrong music on the CD at first but then the audio-visual guys got it right.  After this song, I spoke a bit in Portuguese (it is very strange for me but for some reason I can remember many words in Portuguese even though I haven’t been to Brazil for 8 years) which the Brazilians like (especially from an
American) and then went into my story about how our big skull, “Portal de Luz” when I was in Brazil in 1999 — told me that I must always begin my talks with music.  So I went next with the song “I Can’t Dance” by Genesis, which is a good song for people to clap their hands and dance too — and did my traditional dance with “Portal de Luz”, throwing him up in the air (he doesn’t mind) and then went into the audience to clap or hit people’s hands.  So the music and my kind of informal way of doing the presentation was well received.  (see the photo album).  I find when I do this in the beginning it helps
to create a very friendly environment.

Then I showed the slides I had (a Microsoft Power Point presentations) and introduced various ancient, old and contemmporary skulls through their images. To take a  break, I sang the song I have written (from the early 1980’s) that we used as the theme song for our crystal skull festivals in Holland (2006) and Hungary (2007) but a strange thing happened to me, I couldn’t play the song they way it was supposed to be done or how I have performed it in the past, I felt guided to do it in a completely different way.  Nelso provided the guitar and also I asked the people to sing with me on the phase in the song “Öne Family” in English and Porguese (uma familia) which they did.

During the talk I was discussing how healing happens with crystal skulls, what it is like to be a guardian - what type of energies we have found around the skull.  I did speak about the skulls could have come from Atlantis or Lemuria and talked a bit about my search for a blue skull in Peru.  Finally I shared why the crystal skulls were important for the future and finished with a meditation. Through the workshop I met some new people who became friends for the rest of that weekend. 

There were a number of people who came up to the skulls to see and touch them (I had my four personal crystal skulls out — “Portal de Luz” (10 lbs, smoky quartz), “Geronimo Golden Eagle-Eye” (1-2 lbs, smoky quartz) “Little Indiana Prinses (1/2 lb, rose quartz) “Purple Starbright / Zippy One Eye (1-2 lbs amethyst quartz) plus the three skulls (two were quite large, clear quartz, almost human size) from Nelson and Bernadette.  They had to close the room, so we left a bit quickly and with sessions coming up the next day, I went to sleep shortly after getting to my room.

On Friday I had a chance during various parts of the day (during the meals) to speak to some of the other speakers.  I learned that in Brazil in 3-6 months there will be a new law that all the official documents related to UFOs will be open.  For example, one of the speakers was a retired Brazilian General who was in charge of the radar of military flights and pilot reports.  He saw the UFOs flying on the radar and the reports but for now he can’t officially talk about it.  Another speaker at the conference was the first Brazilian Astronaut, who believes in UFOs and spoke about what he saw in outer space.

I also met Jamie Maussan from Mexico who is a journalist there who has been covering the UFO phenomena for many years and report it on Mexican TV.  Well I was surprised to hear that he had a large rose quartz crystal skull he bought for only $200 that he was told came out of the ground when they were digging to make a new building. 

 I will interview Jamie a bit and eventually post his interview and photos.  But I had met Jamie related to some special videos done by Lee Elders in Arizona about incredible UFOs showing up in Mexico and around Mexico City I think in the 1990’s … So Mr. Maussan told me I had to come to his talk as he had amazing video to show.  So I made it a point to be there at 9 AM Saturday morning. Anyway for Friday, during the day we had 11 sessions with the crystal skulls and I had at times three helpers who did healing work on the clients. 

There were two people we met in the sessions that had something unbelievable happen to them, one in the session and one outside.  First, one woman came in and we could feel a lot of univited spirits around her - she was kind of depressed and unhappy so we were able to clear this — then about an hour later, she came back and had completely lost her memory — I heard she felt she was in the year 1164 or something.  She recognized one of the healers in our session but not the rest of us and didn’t know she was at a UFO conference.  This lost of memory went on for about a few hours and then I learned in the evening she was better and recovered.  After this I saw a person more happy and joyous.

The second case is we had another older woman come who claimed pains in her back and had problems in other parts — I believe it was on Sunday, in the middle part of the afternoon, I was sitting outside the lecture room (as due to my lack of Portuguese I couldn’t understand the speakers)  and I saw people rushing out carrying a person — it was this lady and I think her ulcer exploded — there was blood coming out of her mouth all over her.  So I watched as there must have been like 15-20 people sending her a healing energy and then eventually the paramedics came.  When she got to the hospital, the medical people were amazed because they could find no evidence of a problem.

Ok back to Saturday morning, first I attended Mr. Maussen presentation and boy I couldn’t believe the video he showed us.  From 2005 - 2007, on various occassions, there were formations of UFOs over 100 easily flying over the Mexican skies - I had never seen so many UFOs at one time, did this really happen.  Then he showed us kind of geometic patterns comprised of thin colored lines also appearing and moving in the sky.  The closest I could compare this to is like an Amoeba.  I saw purple and green - I asked how did Mr. Maussen describe this and he said it appeared like gigantic living animals appearing in the sky, at first I thought the ships might be doing it but they did not. I am discussing with Mr. Maussen about the possibility to also be able to show still photos or some videos of the UFOs described here.

Saturday afternoon I gave a one hour lecture.  And this time the young men helping with the Audio-Video equipment got the music correctly.  My talk gave a quick overview of different skulls and then I discussed the UFO connections with the Skulls including the Hollow Earth.  Then after I gave this talk, I waited outside of the lecture room so any people who wanted to visit the crystal skulls could.  I had a chance to visit with a number of people and also I was able to communicate with people with my poor portuguese.  There were three teenage children who sat with me and we became good friends, I called them my kids from Curitiba - on Sunday they left for me in my hotel room, a picture that was taken of us, which I am very proud of and said they were very happy to meet me and liked some ideas I shared about life and when I came back to Curitiba they would be there to help me.

Saturday night, they took us out to a big buffet restaurant — my god there was so much food to eat.  A local tv station came and interviewed some of the people there about their UFO beliefs and it was a nice
social setting to speak to the speakers and attendees, some people I spoke to either came to one of the lectures I offered or had a session.  I would have to say that my friends (or extended family) in Brasil
doubled after this conference and I am already emailing a few of these people.  I also had a chance to speak briefly to the man who was the financial sponsor of the Festival who believed  in UFOs.

Sunday, the last day of the conference was a quiet day for me.  There were no sessions so I took it easy — I did speak to a very interesting man from Italy named Girogio Bongiovanni, who I had met in the early 1990’s when I attended the Star Knowledge conference in South Dakota.  He has had contact with ETs (a channel) but also he shows the stigmata of Christ and bleeds from wounds that do not heal on his hands and feet. (On Monday I saw a video done of his wounds and how he goes into a trance).  I also felt inspired to share the smaller skulls with a young Brazilian girl (I asked permission of her mother who
said this child was very aware, maybe 4 years old) especially our rose quartz skull.  It turned out the child’s name was Sarah Rosa - Sarah in Portuguese is Princes and Rosa is Rose and of course our rose quartz skull is called Little Indian Princes.

In the afternoon on Sunday I met with a film crew from Italy and they did an interview with me.  During the interview while I was holding Portal de Luz, the light behind me (a filming light) just went out by itself for no reason.  Also on Sunday, I saw some film A.J. Geveard took when he visited Nevada to see Area 51 and we saw the signs which threaten your life if you pass further and a jeep watching people who come there.

So it was a very interesting conference. I met a lot of interesting people and hope to go to Mexico later this year to meet Mr. Maussan and she his crystal skull.  The people in attendance seemed to enjoy meeting the crystal skulls and the lectures given.  I just would have liked to see the city a bit more as I  heard Curitiba is a beautifully city and there are several spiritual groups there.  But I shall have many pleasant memories of this visit — Rafael and his family took good care of us and it was easy to be there and enjoy.

Thus dear friends, there are the kind of things that happen during our crystal skull journeys — the next
major trip scheduled is early July to Milan to work with Bill Homann and his partner Donna, the guardian
of the Mitchell-Hedges Skull of Love.

My partner Blue Arrow Rainbow will join us and we will see how the Italians respond to the crystal skulls.
